Last of Nine Alleged Cop-Killing Plotters Arrested

Court documents charge that the group had planned as the Hutaree since 2008. David Stone researched explosive devices in the Internet and directed Joshua son of Stone and others to get the necessary materials, authorities said.

Stone, ex-wife, Donna Stone, told The Associated Press that her ex-husband took things too far.

"It started as a Christian thing," said Donna Stone, 44. "You go to church. Praying. Take care of your family. I think David started taking a bit too far. He drew many people to him."

In June 2009, according to authorities, Stone and her younger son, David Stone Jr. Hutaree began teaching others how to make and use explosives. They had to have been used against law enforcement officers as they drove in the funeral procession for the first officer that the intention of killing as bait.
